Locking the car is no longer safe

One of my colleagues was robbed few days ago while she was stopping her car at the traffic light on her way back at night. The robbers approached her car by a motorbike, smashed her car window and grabbed her belongings and IBM laptop ("like mad dog") and then drive away immediately.

Apparently, the robbers has marked my colleague as a target to rob while she was walking out from our office premise to the parking lot. Carrying a laptop will only catch these robbers attention. It is sometime safer to change the laptop bag to other normal bag or better leave your laptop behind in the office.

It is also worthwhile to note that, it is better to hide our bag somewhere inside the car, so that these robbers will have no chance to take it away.
