WINNERSKENN JOJOBOY

Name: Winnerskenn Jojoboy ("Smokey")
species:- Canine
Breed: Shih Tzu
Date of Birth:- 1 August 2003
Sex:- Male
Colour:- TriColour

This is a dog I help my friend adopt from a pet shelter in Subang. I am lucky to find a pure breed dog because most of the dog available for adoption in pet shelter are mix breed stray/abandon dogs.

He is 4 years old and was kept in the cage from the day he was born due to his physical defect. When he was rescued he is very thin and could not even walk properly because he has been chained in cage for such a long time. He is very obedient. Since he is coated with grey fur, I helped my friend named him "Smokey".

I urge all the pet lover to love your pet because it is very important to know that we are "everything" to them.

Delayed sleep-phase syndrome

On 15 January 2008, I walked into a pharmacy and ask for medicine to make me fall into sleep. I always has sleeping problem, possibly caused by my bad sleeping habit while I was young. This problem exacerbates while I am in my current job, long working hours is required for sure as I am working in an audit firm. As a result, we tend to go back late. My problem is more on inability to sleep early and unable to get up in the morning due to overnight fatigue or short sleeping hours.

And the problem becomes worst to the extent that I come to work two hours late, which is very bad.

Because of this, I decided to control my own sleeping hours. So I start read somethings about insomnia. When I Google it, I find out various type of sleeplessness:- from the most common insomnia to something like, sleep inertia, advanced sleep phase syndrome (contrary to my sleep problem), non 24 hours sleep wake syndrome, etc.

Definitely I don't need sleeping pills to make me sleep , Delayed sleep-phase syndrome (DSPS), is a chronic disorder of the timing of sleep, peak period of alertness. People with DSPS tend to fall asleep well after midnight and also have difficulty waking up in the morning.

I often cannot sleep until early morning, which is after 2am (at least) and have a normal need for sleep. Therefore, I find it very difficult to wake up in time for a typical work day since I have only slept for a few hours. However, I can sleep soundly, wake up spontaneously, and do not feel sleepy again until my next "night" if I am allowed to follow my own late schedule.

Worst, I can not simply take a nap during noon or evening, cause If I do, I will not be able to sleep before 4am. I also maintain several alarm clocks and always ask my housemate, family to wake me up if there is any urgent meeting I need to attend early in the morning.

In conclusion, my biological clock inside my body is in a state of disorder. And because of that, I believe that I have been stereotyped as an undisciplined person.

Well, research / report also shows that half of the DSPS patients has clinical depression, wow, do I have it? No idea, but I believe that my works is giving me lots of stress cause I keep thinking about it most of the time, deadlines, deadlines, deadlines... ... ... On the other hand, it could be that DSPS is causing my depression cause it is such an disorder which I can not expect other to understand.

Well, I just need to see doctor........................... may be. T.T

My BLOG

Everytime I read my friends' blog, I am kind of envious of their blog because it is kind of cool to share your views online with others. As a result, I tell myself "why not I also have one?".

Starting one is just difficult due to my busy work schedule. Worst still, I just have no idea what to write, what topic to write, worry about my writing skills, etc. It is good that my friends tell me to "LET MYSELF GO". Write anything you like, and most important, practice make things perfect.

Initially I wanted to write in Chinese because I am Chinese educated, I reckon that it will be easier for me to express my thought in Chinese as compared to English. However, my slow Chinese typing skills has made me decided to type in English, which is faster and also allows me a chance to practise my English.

I start cracking my head what Blog name to give.... ... After much consideration, I decided to name it 水岚. The fist word means water literally, and the second word is kind of rare. The upper part of the second word means mountain and the down part of the second word means wind, hence it refers to some kind of "mountain wind" while the actual meaning of the second word means mist / fog in the mountain. One can pronounces it "Shui Lan". But in combination the name carries with it lots of elements from the "great nature".

One may enquire the meaning of 水岚 and in fact, there is no meaning. Haha, I just simply jumble these two words here. One of my friends actually advised me to change it to 幽岚,which sound better and carries a meaning with it, but i don;t like it cause it sounds spooky to me.

Anyway, hope can have more "BullShit" here to share with all my friends.
